Angelica Platform by Beatrix Ong

At LoveStiletto we always love to hear about the inspiration behind more of the daring embellishments that designers flaunt on their heels.

Beatrix Ong’s Spring/Summer 2010 line calls to influences from ancient Greek and Roman mythology and nude paintings by master artists such as Sandro Boticelli. (Boticelli’s better known imagery can be identified from his painting “The Birth of Venus“.)

Beatrix Ong originally designed for Jimmy Choo before stepping out with her own label in 2002.

These gorgeous Angelica heels sport an extended wing embellishment, no doubt inspired by no other than the son and messseger of Zeus: Hermes.

Feminine yet fierce.
